Additives and Special Effects

Excalibur plastisol ink treatment additives. For viscosity adjustment, gloss/matt, better flexibility or cure at lower temperature. It is also used to create special printing effects. High sharp-edged print, puff or suede leather effect can be achieved.

ABA (Anti Buildup Additive)
- prevents the ink from sticking to the screen, it is suitable for wet to wet printing

EXC THICKENER
- “densifier” of color, suitable for printing fine details, does not fade

836 HD (High Density)
- for high, sharp-edged printing
- (alternatively for the same effect pigmented HD base could be used)

HGA (High Gloss Additive)
- gloss enhancer

102 MATTE ADDITIVE
- gloss reduction

HSA (High Stretch Additive)
- increases the flexibility of wet and dried prints
- is not recommended for use in Series 700 (glitters) because of the clarity loss

LCA (Low Cure Additive)
- lowers the curing temperature of Excalibur inks for direct printing to 130-140°C

LBA (Low Bleed Additive)
- improves bleed resistance of direct printing inks
- for cotton-based materials

PF-97 (Puff Additive)
- to create a PUFF effect
- additive sediments, must be mixed well before use, for longer storage it is recommended to mix it once a month

SUEDE ADDITIVE
- to create a suede leather effect

103 FAST FLASH ADDITIVE
- significantly reduces the time required for flash curing
- especially suitable for background white
- gives the print a silky matt finish
- 565 FF White ink already contains this additive

501 CURABLE REDUCER
- to reduce ink viscosity
- for any type except the 700 Series

502 VISCOSITY REDUCER
- to reduce ink viscosity
- also suitable for Series 700

X150 – NYLON BONDING AGENT
- to increase the adhesion of directly printed colors to problematic materials
- limits the pot life of the ink to 2-4 hours
