Equipment for drying water-based paints and varnishes, especially in furniture production. The dryer consists of two sections – infrared (IR) section and hot air/IR (HAIR) section. The design of the equipment is based on many tests and experiments, as well as on the long-term experience of leading paint drying experts. The entire system is designed to be able to meet all possible requirements of various paint and varnish application technologies. The device can be used separately, but it is also compatible with the AEROTERM ATWuv UV Dryer. This combination creates a versatile dryer for drying and curing water-based, UV water-based and UV varnishes and paints. The user gets a stationary IRHA dryer for drying water-based paints and varnishes and a mobile UV tunnel for the curing of UV paints and varnishes.
IR section – has a built-in system of medium wave IR emitters, which, together with the flow of hot air at low speeds, gives an even temperature distribution over the width of the tunnel. At the entrance to the drying chamber, a rapid heating zone is created to intensify the drying process and maximize the use of the entire length of the drying chambers of the device. Very high accuracy of setting and maintaining the set temperature in the IR section is provided by incorporating temperature sensors directly into the heating elements and also by the most modern type of PID temperature control with automatic tuning of control parameters.
The HAIR section has a built-in system of three hot air zones with independent flow rate control in each of them. This hot air zone system is complemented by an IR system. The very high accuracy of setting and maintaining the set temperature is again guaranteed by the incorporation of temperature sensors directly into the heating elements and also by the latest type of PID temperature control with automatic tuning of the control parameters. The control system used in both sections is characterized by a very fast and accurate rise to the set temperature without overshooting and also by a precise maintenance of this set temperature, in practice with an accuracy of around 1°C.
The conveyor transports the material through the IR and HAIR sections. The conveyor speed is adjustable. The mechanical and temperature-resistant conveyor belt is made of PTFE-coated glass fibers. A combination of squirrel cage motor and the frequency invertor for precise velocity control and maintenence-free operation. The set speed is displayed directly in m / min.
A controlled overpressure is set in the IR and HAIR sections to prevent dust particles from entering the drying chamber. There is also a recuperative heat exchanger, which returns about half of the heat going to the exhaust. Safety protection for shutting down the heating system when the vacuum required for exhaust is reduced. All active parts are produced by world leading manufacturers. High-quality thermal insulation, noise insulation, intake air filtration, exhaustion. Top features, simple operation, attractive design. The device is intended for installation in an area without risk of explosion. The dryer is designed and manufactured to comply with the regulations and standards of EU countries in terms of construction, operation and operator safety and is equipped with the CE declaration. Its design is also approved by the relevant national testing authority for the safe drying of paints containing flammable solvents.
